State Sen. Hoon-Yung Hopgood, D-Taylor, will host an Environmental Town Hall at 6 p.m. Monday, June 5, at Belleville High School, 501 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville.
All residents in the 6th Senate District are invited to attend and discuss environmental issues in the state of Michigan. Among other municipalities, Sen. Hopgood represents Belleville, Van Buren Township, and Sumpter Township.
Several state- and local-level environmental groups — including the Michigan Environmental Council, the Michigan League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club–MI Chapter — will present information on priority issues and ways in which residents can actively work to make a difference in our communities.
