Rosie the Riveters gathered Saturday, between rain showers, to earn money for their trip to take part in the national Fourth of July parade in Washington, D.C. They earned $1,800.
The part of Fourth Street shut for library construction was reopened for the event, which was scrunched between the fence and the museum and old fire station. There was music, dancing, lots of eating and many Rosies in attendance. Geof Bush in uniform sang the National Anthem to begin the festivities.
