A “Ride for the Red Shield” will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, Aug. 22, to benefit The Salvation Army of Plymouth and Downriver.
The ride begins at The Salvation Army Plymouth Corps, 9451 S. Main Street, Plymouth, and finishes at The Salvation Army Downriver Corps, 1258 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte (located between Northline/Ford and Goddard).
Registration, continental breakfast, and building tours begin at 9:30 a.m. The ride departure is at 11 a.m. A barbeque lunch will be served in Exchange Park, located behind the Downriver Corps.
Donation is $20 a rider and $15 a passenger and includes a t-shirt. Donation is $25 a rider if received after July 31.
