The Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce (SWCRC) and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) announce the establishment of free, walk-in mentoring sessions for small businesses.
SCORE mentors will be available to assist small businesses on Jan. 9 and Jan. 25 and on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month thereafter. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the SWCRC offices on 20904 Northline Road, Taylor, 48180. All small businesses, planned, new or existing, are welcome.

Established for more than 50 years, the non-profit chamber has more than 500 members including businesses (start-ups to international corporations), civic leaders, and elected officials who work together to promote the Downriver community.

SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives, is a non-profit subsidiary of the Small Business Administration. Its mission is to nurture small and prospective businesses and ensure that they grow and thrive.
SCORE volunteer mentors have significant, high-level experience in many industries and are trained extensively on the mentoring process.
Mentors assist entrepreneurs as they address issues with start-up, ongoing operations, and growth. Mentors can give guidance on operations, marketing, financing and business planning.
