Summer, regional manager, and Tania, office manager, under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Kizy from Purpose Dental located at 45520 Tyler Rd in Van Buren Township, delivered 60 adult and 60 children’s dental bags to the Emergency Food Closet at Belleville First United Methodist Church on Nov. 4.
Each bag contains either an adult or a child’s toothbrush, a box of toothpaste, and dental floss with an information card on the services provided at Purpose Dental. These will be passed out to clients with their weekly food bags. The dental team hopes to donate these on a regular basis.
“It is not only important to provide food to residents but help maintain good oral hygiene for good health!” said Marilyn Wood, food closet coordinator. The Emergency Food Closet is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located at 417 Charles St. in the city of Belleville.
