Kenneth Clark, 45, of Ypsilanti was arrested for assault and battery following an incident at about 4:34 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Belleville Road Meijer store.
Van Buren Township Police Lt. Ken Floro said a felonious assault incident occurred between a customer and two Meijer employees. Clark is said to have verbally threatened two employees and physically assaulted one.
Lt. Floro said Clark voluntarily came to the police department later that night where he provided a written statement and ultimately was taken into custody.
Clark was charged with assault and battery the following day and is free on bond, Lt. Floro said.
