Friends elect Yarbrough to lead

Nakenya Yarbrough was elected president of the Friends of the Belleville Area District Library at Saturday’s annual meeting.
Former president Tony D’Onofrio was elected vice president; Bonnie McRitchie, secretary; and Rick Cichewicz, treasurer.
Membership chairman Marty Wilson reported in 2013 the Friends had 106 individual members and 24 life members. The membership brought in $3,482 in dues and donations.
Book sales for 2013 from the entry shelves, program room, and quarterly sales totaled $7,691.70.
President D’Onofrio, who presided over the annual meeting, presented plaques for the following special awards:
• Michelle Wlock, Volunteer of the Year;
• Rick and Joy Cichewicz, Members of the Year; and
• John Juriga, Lifetime Achievement Award.
