Five candidates file for three school board seats in Nov. 4 election

The deadline for withdrawing as a candidate for three open seats on the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education was 4 p.m. Friday, July 25.
According to the Wayne County Clerk’s Office the following five school board candidates will be on the Nov. 4 general election ballot.
• Alison Bennett
• Kevin English
• Sherry Frazier
• Matthew Mann
• Scott Russell
Incumbents are English, Frazier, and Russell.
