Scott William-Samuel Settles, 42, of Belleville will face a Wayne County Circuit Court jury on July 17 in the courtroom of Judge Regina Thomas at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice.
Settles was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, weapons-felony firearm, gun possession while intoxicated, and brandishing a firearm in public on Dec. 18 at Egan’s Pub in the City of Belleville.
At his preliminary exam before 34th District Court Judge Tina Brooks Green, the Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Megan Mathews asked to add a fifth charge of terrorism and Judge Green agreed to adding the charge.
Bond of $10,000/10% was posted. Retained attorney of record is Michael Vincent. Joseph Hall served as defense attorney at the March 20 preliminary exam.

I’m shocked that this isn’t bigger news. It’s my understanding that this guy was perched in a spot, ready to shoot people and the only thing that stopped him was the police arriving. He was literally ready to murder people coming out of the bar!!!
