A charge of larceny in a building on Oct. 19, 2018 at the Secretary of State office in Belleville against Vincent Paul Webber, 57, was dismissed by 34th District Court Judge David Parrott at a court session Oct. 2.
The Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Holland Roper asked Judge Parrott to dismiss the charge, without prejudice, which means it could be reinstated in the future.
On Sept. 25, Webber, of Monroe, was due for his preliminary exam on the charge before Chief Judge Tina Brooks Green, but because of an error in Belleville the witnesses had not been subpoenaed to testify and Judge Green agreed to adjourn the exam for a week.
On Oct. 2, the officer in charge of the case Belleville Officer Jeff Wickham was present and reportedly the witnesses were present to testify.
Court-appointed defense attorney was Steven Moss. Webber was free after posting bond of $2,000/10% and the bond was returned.

Kellie Marie Hargett
Aaliyah Kellie Hargett, 24, and Kellie Marie Hargett, 41, both of Ecorse, waived their preliminary exams before Judge Parrott and were bound over to circuit court for an Oct. 16 arraignment on the information on charges from a Sept. 10 incident in Van Buren Township.
Aaliyah is charged with felony assault and assault and battery. Kellie is charged with two counts of felony assault, two counts of weapons (using a self-defense spray device), and two counts of assault and battery.
Both defendants were free after each posted bond of $2,000/10%. Court-appointed defense attorney Roderick Green represented Aaliyah and court-appointed defense attorney Michael Woodyard represented Kellie.
Judge Parrott said the file shows that Aaliyah owes money to the court on another case and so she was directed to the cashier.
Both were advised not to return to an apartment at 48961 Denton Rd.
