City of Belleville Fire Fighters James Beaumont and Allison Reed recently completed Weapons of Mass Destruction and Hazardous Material training in at the Alabama Fire College.
Beaumont and Reed received federal certification through The Center for Domestic Preparedness.
The Center for Domestic Preparedness is operated by the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency and is the only federally-chartered Weapons of Mass Destruction training facility in the nation.
“This training was fully funded by the U.S. government causing no burden on the City of Belleville citizens, only great benefits,” said Captain Christopher Zweng of the City of Belleville Fire Department.
Both Beaumont and Reed are back in Alabama this week receiving more advanced training to make our communities stronger, safer, and better prepared in the event of an emergency, Captain Zweng said.
