The Belleville Area Women’s Club gave out five academic scholarships at its May 5 meeting. Scholarship winners were Belleville High School seniors, who received $1,000 each, Emily Kruchin, Amanda Parker, Tiffany Garrett, and the only male scholarship recipient, Devin Stevens; and Barbara Burtch, who earned the Georgia Badgett Scholarship of $750 to help a woman return to school.
Club Scholarship Chairwoman is Susanne Oakley.
