As students make college and career plans for after high-school graduation, Unified Communities Federal Credit Union announced that two high school students have been selected to receive a $500 scholarship.
Alexandria L. Ragland, a graduate of Belleville High School, is the recipient of the Credit Union’s Co-op Student Scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded to a student who has worked his or her entire senior year at the credit union as a Member Service Representative. Alexandria submitted an essay on her experience of being a co-op student and what she learned from the experience that will help her.
Tracy B. Markray II, a graduate of Ann Arbor Huron High School, is the recipient of the Theodore Hancox Scholarship in honor of Ted Hancox who was a credit union volunteer for many years. Tracy submitted an essay on how he perceives credit unions as a part of the community.
Unified Communities Federal Credit Union has a location at 186 Main Street in downtown Belleville.
