Elyse Losen of Van Buren Township is inviting all Princesses to a special morning of princess fun on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Bethany Bible Church’s gymnasium, which is being turned into a ballroom.
Bethany is at 810 E. Huron River Dr.
Elyse, who is the reigning Miss SouthCentral Michigan, will be running for Miss Michigan in the June 2012 scholarship pageant and she is putting on this special princess event to earn money to help with her costs for the pageant.
She needs to buy evening gowns, shoes, jewelry, photography and pay travel expenses.
Elyse is the first person from the Belleville area to be a candidate for the title of Miss Michigan and the accompanying academic scholarship.
Laura Abney, who now lives in Van Buren Township, was Miss Michigan in 1998, after winning the Miss Wayne County and Miss Redford Township crowns. She was Miss Michigan fourth-runner up in 1997.
For the special “Princesses and Pancakes Breakfast”, Elyse is asking each participant to dress as her favorite princess. The event begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
Festivities will include Princess Pancakes (chocolate chip or plain), fruit cup, milk, and juice; Princess songs performed by Elyse, Princess crafts, Princess photos with Elyse (bring your cameras), Princess Basket of Goodies Raffle, and other Princess activities.
Cost is $10 for each princess or parent. Tickets are on sale now and must be purchased ahead of the event.
Tickets are available by calling 697-7455, by dropping by the Bethany Daycare Office, or by calling Susette Losen at 313-530-5989.
