Now is the chance to show off your artistic talent and decorate a FISH cutout for the ongoing Community Art FISH Project.
The Belleville Area Council for the Arts (BACA) is asking artists of all ages to use their creativity and paint or decoupage and embellish wooden FISH. Adults and children are encouraged to design a FISH for the first time or add a new piece to the past collection.
FISH blanks are now available at the Belleville Area District Library. All artists are encouraged to pick up a FISH, decorate it, and return it to the library by Saturday, June 4.
The school of FISH will again be displayed on the shoreline of Belleville Lake at Horizon Park. The 2022 FISH display will be ready to highlight the Belleville Lake Fest activities June 24-26. The FISH display will remain throughout the summer until late September.
BACA’s Music Lakeside will resume on Thursday evenings at 7, June 23-Aug. 18, at Horizon Park. Concert-goers enjoy walking along the shoreline to see the Community Art Project during intermission.
