Ryan Dean McLaughlin, 30, waived his preliminary exam before 34th District Court Judge Brian A. Oakley on June 26 and Judge Oakley bound him over to circuit court for an arraignment on the information on July 3.
McLaughlin is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, domestic violence, and assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer on June 9 in the City of Belleville.
He was lodged in the Wayne County Jail on a bond of $20,000/10%. His court-appointed attorney is William Robert Courtright.
David Russell Smith
David Russell Smith, 55, had a preliminary exam set for June 26 before Judge Oakley and it was adjourned until July 31 at the request of the Wayne County Prosecutor and Smith’s court-appointed defense attorney.
He is charged with possession of methamphetamine/ecstacy, obstructing by disguise, and operating while license suspended on March 16, 2018 in Sumpter Township.
He is free after posting bond.
Smith’s codefendant is Xylina Amanda Fisher, 34, who also is charged with possession of methamphetamine/ecstacy and obstructing by disguise.
Tamara Jean Goins
Tamra Jean Goins, 36, waived her preliminary exam by video from the Wayne County Jail. Judge Oakley bound her over to circuit court for an arraignment on the information July 3.
She is charged with possession of narcotics or cocaine less than 25 grams in Van Buren Township on Nov. 2, 2018. Her court-appointed attorney is Joshua Gordon.
John David Clift
John David Clift, 55, waived his preliminary exam before Magistrate Lisa Martin and she bound him over to circuit court for a July 3 arraignment on the information. Clift is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and domestic violence on June 13 in Van Buren Township. He is lodged in the Wayne County Jail. His bond was set at $10,000/10% on this charge and he was referred to pre-trial services for a bond review. His retained attorney is Robert Coutts.
James Patrick Fisher
James Patrick Fisher, 50, waived his preliminary exam before Magistrate Martin and was bound over to circuit court for an arraignment on the information on July 3. He is charged with operating while intoxicated 3rd and driving while license suspended on April 27 in Van Buren Township. He is lodged in the Wayne County Jail on bond of $50,000/10%.
